Ryujin

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while so please don’t drag me! I’m back with a new restaurant for you guys that’s located in Williamsburg. I’m sorry that I often bring y’all here but these gentrified areas have some spots that slap – one of them being Ryujin. My college friend, Jovie, wanted a girls night out and suggested this place.

I know it’s early but lets start with the star of the night – the appetizer. We ordered the Golden Lobster Fries & the Wagyu Beef Teppan Steak. The lobster fries were so. good. The combination of the sweet sauce an mozzarella wasn’t something that I’ve ever thought of pairing but it worked. Between the four of us there was a generous amount of lobster meat and fries to share. It was enough to carry the appetizer round as a whole because I wasn’t too impressed with the wagyu beef. The meat could’ve been just a tad bit more seasoned and it was kind of chewy. I was disappointed because I know wagyu to be one of the best cuts of beef there is.

For my entree I ordered the Ryujin Spicy Miso which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m really a broth girl so I was going in on that (the noodles were really good too). I just thought it was a well thought out dish. There was just so much food – none of us finished our ramen. I definitely suggest sharing a bowl between two people, especially if you want to take advantage of the appetizer menu.
