Cheese Boat

Welcome to DEVOUR NYC!! (and other cities and countries). There are 3 things that I love: food, family & travel. Anywhere I go the first thing that comes to mind is I'm ready to eat. I happen to be very lucky enough to live in one of the culinary capitals of the world, where there is an endless array of flavors, cultures and FOOD! I thought to myself how amazing would it be to just eat my way through New York and thankfully I don't have to go on this journey alone. With the help of my two older cousins, Steph & Val, I will eat my way through my favorite city (and others) and give you guys our honest ratings out of 5. They will cover: service, food, ambiance and overall experience. Hope you enjoy the ride.

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

First stop is CHEESEBOAT in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Steph and I found this restaurant off of a Facebook video and it looked AMAZING! Their signature dish that reeled us in was...you'll never guess...a cheese boat.

I knew that we were off to a good start when we stumbled across this sign in front of the restaurant...

I wasn't eager to try it due to the fact that I'm lowering my salt intake…

The restaurant was beautiful and had a nice rustic vibe. To my surprise, the menu was Georgian inspired. We ordered: the original Cheeseboat w/ an egg and butter, soup dumplings khinkali, flaming chicken and kartvelian salad with spices.
